/ Technical SEO company for the long run
The technical SEO company that stays after the audit.
Technical SEO is never finished. Every release, plugin update and redesign can undo last quarter's fixes. We're the technical SEO company that stays: monitoring, release checks, quarterly reviews and migrations handled when they come, with every change documented and every asset still yours.
Ask us anything, including what happens if you leave. You'll get a straight answer.
Want the full scope? Technical SEO services: what is included
Illustrative growth curve. The totals are real, rounded down, across four stores using our SEO playbook.
Every change documented/ Sound familiar?
Fixed last year. Broken again.
Most technical SEO gets bought as a project. The fixes ship, the supplier leaves, and the site slowly drifts back to where it started.
The fixes didn't last
A theme update reverted your canonicals, a new app injected duplicate schema and a plugin switched tag archives back on. Nobody noticed until traffic dipped months later.
Customers find the problems first
You hear about broken pages from a support ticket or a sales call, long after Google has crawled them and quietly dropped them from results.
Every redesign starts from scratch
Each relaunch brings a new supplier, a new audit and new mistakes, because nobody kept a record of what was fixed last time or why.
No one can show what you paid for
Invoices arrive every month, but there's no change log, no documentation and no clear link between the work done and how the site performs.
We treat technical SEO as maintenance with a memory: watched continuously, written down, and owned by you.
/ What's included
What working with a technical SEO company should cover.
Five things we do for as long as we work together. Combined, they stop a site from sliding back once the big fixes have shipped.
Monitoring & alerts
As your technical SEO company, we run scheduled crawls and watch Search Console, Core Web Vitals and indexing every week. When something moves the wrong way, you hear from us with the cause, not just a red chart.
Why it matters: a robots.txt mistake caught in a day costs almost nothing, while one caught a month later can take months to recover.
- Scheduled crawls of key templates and sections
- Alerts on noindex, status code and canonical changes
- Search Console indexing trends reviewed weekly
- Core Web Vitals field data tracked per template
- Sitemap and robots.txt changes detected
- A short note explaining each alert and its fix
Release checks
Your site keeps changing. Before major releases we crawl staging, compare it with production and flag anything that would hurt crawling, indexing or rendering. After release, a second crawl confirms production matches what was approved.
Why it matters: most technical regressions arrive with a deploy, so the release is the cheapest place to stop them.
- Staging crawled ahead of major releases
- Changed templates checked in rendered HTML
- Redirect and canonical rules compared before and after
- Theme, plugin and app updates reviewed for side effects
- Written sign-off, or a list of blockers
- Production recrawled within days of each release
Quarterly technical reviews
Every quarter we step back from tickets and review the whole site: crawl efficiency, index coverage, log file patterns, speed by template and structural debt. You get a written review and a reset roadmap for the quarter ahead.
Why it matters: slow problems like crawl waste or index bloat only show up when you compare one quarter with the last.
- Index coverage compared quarter on quarter
- Server log review of Googlebot's crawl patterns
- Core Web Vitals trends by template
- Internal linking and click depth rechecked
- Technical debt list re-ranked by impact
- Roadmap agreed with your product and dev leads
Migrations & redesigns
When a redesign, replatform or domain move comes, we already know your site, so planning starts from history rather than from zero. We build the redirect map, crawl staging, run launch-day checks and watch the recovery.
Why it matters: the team that has watched your site for a year already knows which URLs carry the links and the revenue.
- Redirect maps built from crawl, log and analytics data
- Old-to-new mapping checked by hand for key pages
- Staging crawls before launch, with blockers listed
- Launch-day checks on redirects, robots.txt and sitemaps
- Indexing and traffic watched for weeks after launch
- Moves to Shopify with our Shopify SEO company team
Documentation & ownership
Everything we learn and change gets written down in a place you own: a change log, a technical handbook for your site, and the redirect and rule files. If you ever leave, the knowledge stays with you.
Why it matters: a site's technical history is an asset, and it shouldn't live in one supplier's head.
- Change log with date, reason and measured result
- A living handbook of your site's SEO rules
- Redirect maps and rule files stored in your systems
- Search Console and analytics kept in your accounts
- Code changes in your repository, under your control
- A handover pack if you ever move on
/ How it works
Month 1, month 6, month 12.
How the partnership changes over a year, and what should be in your hands at each stage.
Baseline
A full technical audit, monitoring set up, access agreed in your name, and the first high-impact fixes shipped.
You get: a documented baseline, with first fixes live within two weeks of kickoff.
Clear the backlog
The ranked fix list worked through release by release, with staging checks and monthly reporting on what each change did.
You get: a site with its biggest technical debts paid down.
Protect and improve
Quarterly reviews, log analysis and release checks become routine. Bigger projects like a redesign get planned with full history.
You get: fewer regressions and a roadmap tied to your product plans.
Handover if you leave
If you move on, you get the change log, handbook, redirect files and an open briefing for whoever takes over.
You get: no lost knowledge and no locked accounts.
/ Results
Steady work, compounding results.
Long-term technical care is part of the SEO playbook behind these numbers: four ecommerce stores over 16 months, with fixes, monitoring, content and links working together rather than technical work alone.
SEO, across four stores
16 monthsclicks from Google, without paying for a single one
One of these stores now makes 20 to 30 sales every week from search alone.
Our clients' data stays theirs, so we show rounded totals rather than their dashboards.
/ Is this for you?
A long-term partner for businesses like yours.
✓A great fit if you are
- You release often and need someone watching what each deploy does
- You depend on organic revenue so a silent regression is expensive
- You're planning a redesign or replatform in the next year or two
- You've been burned by one-off projects that faded once the supplier left
- You want documentation you own not knowledge locked inside a supplier
✕Probably not a fit if you
- Need a single audit and nothing more. Our SEO audit services suit that
- Have a small site that rarely changes. Ongoing monitoring may be more than you need
- Want help with one hard decision. A technical SEO consultant fits better
- Prefer to keep no written records. Documentation is part of how we work
/ Before you commit
How to vet a technical SEO company.
A long-term technical partner will touch your production site for months or years. These checks, proof requests and warning signs help you pick one you can trust with that access.
Ask for a sample change log
Careful companies keep records. Ask to see an anonymised change log or monthly report: what changed, when, why and with what result. If they can't show one, they probably don't keep one.
Check who owns the accounts
Search Console, analytics, tag manager, CDN and repositories should sit in your name, with the company added as a user. Be wary of anyone who sets them up under their own login.
Ask how regressions get caught
Good answers mention staging crawls, alerts on noindex and status code changes, and recrawls after release. 'We check rankings monthly' means you'll hear about problems weeks too late.
Request proof, then check it
Ask for results with context: what kind of site, which period, which metrics. Totals shown in a Search Console screenshot beat vague percentages with no baseline.
Read the exit terms first
Before signing, ask what you receive when you leave: documentation, redirect files, removal of their access. A company confident in its work makes leaving easy.
Watch for tool-only reporting
If monthly reports are a crawler health score and a ranking chart, nobody is interpreting your site. You want written analysis that names causes and next steps.
We're happy to answer every one of these on a first call, with examples.
