/ Email marketing agency Klaviyo, flows and SMS
The email marketing agency your Klaviyo account deserves.
Most stores have Klaviyo installed and a welcome email written on launch day. An email marketing agency should turn that into a working system: flows that fire at the right moment, campaigns planned around your calendar, segments that respect your list, and mail that reaches the inbox. Senior specialists build all of it.
The audit comes from the specialist who would build your flows.

Deliverability checked first/ Sound familiar?
Your list keeps growing. Revenue doesn't.
Email should be your most profitable channel, because you already own the audience. When it isn't, the cause is almost always one of these.
Flows from launch day, never touched
Your welcome series still mentions a discontinued product. Abandonment fires once with no follow-up, and post-purchase is a single 'thanks for your order'.
A discount in every send
Every campaign leads with a code, so subscribers learn to wait for the next one. Margin drops, and full-price buyers slowly turn into bargain hunters.
Mail sliding into spam
Open and click rates fell after Gmail and Yahoo tightened their sender rules. Nobody checked authentication, complaint rates or old unengaged profiles, so your reach keeps shrinking.
Klaviyo revenue nobody believes
The dashboard credits email with a huge share of sales, counting opens over a long window. Finance doesn't trust the number, so email never gets proper investment.
Email works when it behaves like a system: the right message, triggered by what a customer just did, sent to people who still want to hear from you.
/ What we build
What our Klaviyo agency builds and runs.
Our email marketing services cover five areas of Klaviyo email marketing. Most brands need work on all of them, and roughly in this order.
Core automated flows
As an email marketing agency we start with flows, because they earn money every day without anyone pressing send. We map the customer journey, rebuild the essential flows in Klaviyo, and split them so first-time and repeat buyers get different messages.
Why it matters: flows trigger on real behaviour, so they usually earn more per recipient than any campaign you'll ever send.
- Welcome series split by subscribers who have and haven't bought
- Browse, cart and checkout abandonment as separate flows
- Post-purchase: delivery, how-to, review request, cross-sell
- Replenishment timed to how long your product actually lasts
- Win-back and sunset flows for lapsing customers
- Smart sending, flow filters and exit conditions set correctly
Campaigns and the calendar
Campaigns are planned a month ahead around your launches, restocks, content and peak dates such as Black Friday. Not every send is a sale: product stories, guides and founder notes keep people opening between promotions.
Why it matters: a calendar agreed in advance prevents the panic send on a slow week that teaches subscribers to ignore you.
- Monthly calendar agreed around launches, stock and promotions
- A mix of product, education, story and offer sends
- Peak season plans built weeks before the rush
- Send frequency by engagement level, not one blast to all
- Subject lines and offers tested where list size allows
- Campaign themes shared with paid social for consistent messaging
Segmentation and list growth
A bigger list only helps if it buys. We build sign-up forms that collect useful information, then segment by engagement, purchase history and predicted behaviour, so each send goes to the people most likely to care about it.
Why it matters: sending everything to everyone drags engagement down, which hurts inbox placement for the emails that really matter.
- Pop-ups and embedded forms with timing and exit-intent rules
- Sign-up questions on needs, preferences and product interest
- Engaged segments by 30, 60, 90 and 180 days
- Klaviyo predictive analytics used where your order data allows
- SMS consent collected separately and compliantly
- GDPR and double opt-in handled for EU and UK lists
Deliverability and inbox placement
Since Gmail and Yahoo tightened their bulk sender requirements, authentication and list hygiene decide whether you reach the inbox. We set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on a branded sending domain, watch complaint rates and sunset people who stopped engaging.
Why it matters: the best email ever written earns nothing in a spam folder, and a damaged sender reputation is slow to rebuild.
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC aligned on a branded sending domain
- One-click unsubscribe and complaint rates kept under Google's limits
- Google Postmaster Tools monitored for domain reputation
- Sunset rules so unengaged contacts stop dragging you down
- Careful warm-up when moving from Mailchimp or another platform
- Bounces, blocks and spam traps investigated, not ignored
Design, copy and honest reporting
Emails are written in your brand voice and designed to read well on a phone, in dark mode and with images switched off. Reporting separates what email truly added from what Klaviyo attributes to itself.
Why it matters: if nobody trusts the email numbers, the channel stays underfunded even when it's quietly doing the heavy lifting.
- Mobile-first templates that hold up in dark mode
- Copy written in your brand voice, product by product
- Attribution windows reviewed and explained, not left on defaults
- Holdout groups on key flows to measure true lift
- Revenue per recipient and repeat purchase rate tracked monthly
- Numbers matched to Shopify and GA4 by our marketing analytics agency team
/ How it works
From audit to a running programme.
Most email programmes can be rebuilt in a few weeks. This is the order we usually work in.
Account audit
We review your Klaviyo flows, segments, forms, sending domain, engagement and attribution settings, and send you a written audit within 48 hours.
You get: a clear list of what's missing and what's broken.
Fix the foundations
Domain authentication, sunset rules and the highest-value flow fixes, often abandonment and welcome, go live within two weeks of kickoff.
You get: safer sending and the first new revenue.
Rebuild the flows
We build out post-purchase, replenishment and win-back, split flows by customer type, and launch sign-up forms that capture better data.
You get: a full flow library running on its own.
Calendar and review
A campaign calendar agreed each month, weekly updates, and a monthly report on revenue per recipient, repeat purchase rate and list health.
You get: an email programme that grows with your list.

What email, site and CRO work did together.
The brand behind these figures sells DTC accessories, and email was one of three workstreams there, alongside website and conversion work. We can't credit email alone for them, and we won't.

Same month, one year apart. The first month was our first month together.
Our clients' data stays theirs, so we show rounded totals rather than their dashboards.
/ Is this for you?
Who our email marketing agency is built for.
✓A great fit if you are
- A Shopify or DTC brand with repeat-purchase potential and a list that isn't pulling its weight
- Already on Klaviyo or ready to move there from Mailchimp or a more basic tool
- Leaning on discounts and want email that sells at full price more often
- Watching engagement fall since the Gmail and Yahoo sender changes, without knowing why
- Working on site conversion too and want both planned together; see our conversion rate optimisation agency
✕Probably not a fit if you
- Want cold outreach. We never send to bought or scraped lists
- Want one newsletter a month. A freelancer or your own team will cost less for that
- Have no customers yet. Traffic and first sales come first; email needs people to email
- Sell a once-a-decade purchase. Email plays a smaller role there, and we'll say so honestly
/ Check it yourself
A quick Klaviyo health check.
You can run these checks in your own account today, whether or not you ever hire us. Each one points to a common leak that's usually simple to fix.
Is your sending domain authenticated?
In Klaviyo, open the domain settings. You want a branded sending domain with SPF and DKIM passing and a DMARC record published. Relying on a shared sending domain is a real risk under the current Gmail and Yahoo rules.
Do your abandonment flows go beyond one email?
Open each abandonment flow and count the messages and filters. A single email with no exclusion for people who have since ordered leaves money on the table and irritates real buyers.
Who actually gets your campaigns?
Look at your last ten campaigns. If most went to the whole list, build engaged segments, for example clicked or ordered in the last 90 days, and send regular campaigns there.
What does your post-purchase flow say?
If it's only an order confirmation, you're missing the moment customers are most receptive: delivery tips, how to use the product, a review request and a relevant next purchase.
Which attribution window is set?
Check the attribution settings for opens and clicks. Long, open-based windows inflate email revenue. Know the setting before judging the channel, or ask for a holdout test on your main flows.
How many unengaged profiles do you pay for?
Klaviyo pricing scales with active profiles. Find people who haven't clicked or ordered in six months or more, send them a last-chance sunset flow, then suppress the ones who stay silent.
Apple Mail Privacy Protection inflates opens, so judge engagement mainly on clicks and orders. Want help with the wider plan? See our ecommerce marketing agency page.
/ Your options
Who should run your email?
Brands usually choose between four options here. Each can work well in the right situation; this is the honest picture.
