/ SEO consultant for teams who implement
An SEO consultant for the decisions you can't undo.
You have people who can ship: developers, writers, a marketing lead. What you lack is a senior SEO consultant who has made these calls before. Andrej Zafirov, our founder, leads consulting himself. He sets direction, reviews work and challenges assumptions, while your team keeps the keyboard.
You speak with the consultant from the first call. No sales layer, no handover to someone you haven't met.

Your team can ship. Who makes the call?
Most in-house teams don't struggle with effort. They struggle with judgement: decisions where a wrong call costs months of traffic and nobody on the team has made it before.
The relaunch date is fixed. The SEO plan isn't.
A redesign or replatform is weeks away, and nobody has checked the redirect map, the new templates or what happens to your best-ranking URLs.
Thousands of warnings, no verdict
Your crawler lists every issue on the site. Your developers could fix any of them. Nobody can say which ten are worth a sprint.
Your SEO lead has nobody to argue with
One person owns search alongside three other channels. Every big call is made alone, and leadership asks questions they can't easily answer.
Agency advice you can't verify
Your current agency recommends more content and more links each quarter. You suspect some of it is padding, but have no independent view to check it against.
A good consultant doesn't replace your team. They give it a senior second opinion, so the work you already pay for lands where it earns.
/ What's included
What your SEO consultant does with you.
Five roles a consultant plays for an in-house team. Most clients need two or three of them at a time, and the mix shifts as the team grows.
Sets the direction
Your SEO consultant starts by deciding what not to do. From your data, competitors and search demand, we agree the few bets worth this year's effort and write them into a plan your leadership can sign.
Why it matters: without a clear direction, in-house teams spread effort across every report warning and keyword idea, and nothing moves far enough to matter.
- Search demand mapped to what you actually sell
- A ranked roadmap with owners and effort estimates
- Targets tied to leads, orders or revenue
- Clear calls on what to stop doing
- A one-page summary for your leadership team
- A deeper starting point via our SEO audit services
Checks work before it ships
Templates, briefs, redirect maps and tickets get a senior read before they go live. Feedback comes in writing, line by line, so your developers and writers know exactly what to change and why.
Why it matters: most costly SEO mistakes happen at launch, and they are far cheaper to catch on staging than to repair from Search Console.
- Staging reviews of new page types and templates
- Redirect map checks before any migration
- Comments on content briefs and drafts
- Schema and canonical checks on tickets
- A post-launch check in the first week
- Written notes your team can act on without a call
An independent second opinion
Before you sign an agency proposal, approve a big content budget or accept a vendor's diagnosis, ask someone with nothing to sell you. We read the proposal or report and tell you plainly what holds up.
Why it matters: an outside view costs a few hours, while a wrong year-long commitment costs a budget and a year of rankings.
- Reviews of agency proposals and monthly reports
- Checks on link building offers and their risks
- A plain verdict on a vendor's audit findings
- Questions to put back to your current agency
- Help comparing competing offers like for like
- Hands-on fixes through our SEO expert work
A sparring partner for your SEO lead
If one person owns SEO in your company, they need someone senior to think out loud with. Regular calls to test ideas, unpick odd data and decide what goes into the next sprint.
Why it matters: a solo SEO lead decides faster and better with a senior peer to test ideas on, and is less likely to burn out.
- Calls at a rhythm you set, weekly or monthly
- Help reading Search Console and GA4 anomalies
- Email questions answered within one business day
- Prioritisation before each sprint planning session
- Honest views on which tools are worth paying for
- Coaching that builds their own judgement over time
Translator to leadership
SEO budgets get cut when leadership can't see the link to revenue. We help you build the business case, set realistic expectations on timing, and present results in the numbers your board already uses.
Why it matters: teams with leadership backing get developer time; teams without it get pushed to the back of every sprint.
- A business case built on your own numbers
- Honest timelines, with no promised positions
- Reporting framed in leads, orders and revenue
- Input on SEO hiring and job descriptions
- Joint calls with founders or the board
- How SEO and your paid search budget fit together
/ How it works
How working with a consultant starts.
Whichever search engine optimisation consultant you choose, the first weeks should be about listening. Here's how ours usually run.
Intro call
A 30-minute conversation with your SEO lead or head of marketing about goals, team and what's blocking progress.
You get: an honest view on whether a consultant is the right help.
Site and team review
We read your data, crawl the site and talk to the people who will implement the changes.
You get: a shortlist of the decisions that matter most right now.
Direction agreed
We present priorities to your team and leadership, then agree what we'll review and how often.
You get: a written plan and a working rhythm everyone has signed off.
Advise and review
Check-ins, reviews before launches and answers between calls, adjusted as your team gains experience.
You get: fewer costly mistakes, and a team that needs us less over time.
/ Results
Where the advice comes from.
Our consulting draws on the same SEO playbook we run hands-on. Across four ecommerce stores over 16 months, it produced these totals. Your own outcome depends on your site and how quickly your team ships.
SEO, across four stores
16 monthsclicks from Google, without paying for a single one
One of these stores now makes 20 to 30 sales every week from search alone.
Our clients' data stays theirs, so we show rounded totals rather than their dashboards.
/ Is this for you?
Who hires an SEO consultant.
✓A great fit if you are
- You have people who can implement developers, writers or a capable marketer
- Your SEO lead works alone and wants a senior peer to test decisions on
- A migration or redesign is coming and you want it checked before launch
- You doubt your agency's recommendations and want an independent read
- You'd rather build skills in-house than rent execution forever
✕Probably not a fit if you
- Nobody can make the changes. Then you need hands, and our SEO agency team can run the work
- Something is broken right now. A traffic drop or failed migration calls for our SEO expert work first
- You want rankings promised. No honest consultant controls Google
- Your team has no time to act. Advice that never ships is money wasted, for both of us
/ Before you choose
When to hire an SEO consultant.
A consultant is the right help in some situations and the wrong one in others. These checks apply whether you hire us, an independent SEO consultant, or nobody at all.
You can ship, but can't prioritise
If your developers clear tickets every sprint but nobody can rank the SEO backlog by impact, a consultant pays off fast. If tickets sit for months regardless, fix capacity first: advice will simply join the queue.
A one-way decision is coming
Domain changes, replatforms, URL restructures and merging sites are hard to reverse. A few days of senior review before launch is cheap insurance. Bring the consultant in before the design is final, not the week before go-live.
You need someone to check an agency
An outside view helps when reports show activity but not results. Ask the consultant to compare what was promised, what was delivered and what moved. Be wary of anyone who pitches to replace the agency in the same meeting.
Ask who will actually advise you
Many SEO consultants subcontract the thinking. Ask for the name of the person on your calls, what they have worked on, and whether they also implement. People who have shipped fixes give more practical advice than people who only write reports.
Agree what done looks like
Set the outputs before you start: a roadmap, a number of reviews, training sessions, response times. Hourly advice without a defined output drifts. You can compare formats on our SEO consulting services page.
Know when to switch to delivery
If recommendations keep piling up unbuilt after two or three months, the gap is capacity, not knowledge. That is the moment to hand over delivery, fully or in part, to people who do the work.
If none of these fit yet, a free written audit is a sensible first step either way.
