/ Meta ads agency Facebook and Instagram

The Meta ads agency that scales without guessing.

Ads Manager says your return is great. Shopify disagrees. A good Meta ads agency closes that gap before spending another euro: clean Conversions API data, a simpler account and creative doing the targeting. Perfometrics runs Facebook and Instagram ads with senior buyers and reports against your own sales.

Your audit is written by the senior buyer who would run your account.

/ Sound familiar?

Spend goes up. Profit doesn't.

Meta can be the most efficient channel a brand has, or the most expensive habit. These are the patterns we see most often in Facebook and Instagram accounts we are asked to review.

ROAS in Ads Manager, losses in the bank

View-through conversions and modelled results flatter the dashboard. Meanwhile new customer revenue in Shopify is flat and most attributed sales are people who would have bought anyway.

Every budget increase breaks the account

Raise spend by half and cost per purchase jumps, the campaign resets into learning, and someone panics and switches it off. Scaling has become a gamble instead of a process.

Conversions API installed, never checked

A plugin switched it on two years ago. Events fire twice or not at all, event match quality sits in the low range, and nobody has looked since.

A catalogue that sells the wrong products

Dynamic ads push out-of-stock items, low-margin bestsellers or products with broken images, because the feed was set up once and left alone.

Meta rewards accounts that send it clean data, give it room to learn and feed it fresh creative. Most of our work is making all three true.

/ What we fix and run

Inside our Meta ads management.

Five areas decide how well Facebook and Instagram ads perform. Here is what we look at in each, and what changes once we are in the account.

Account structure and consolidation

Our Meta ads agency starts by simplifying. Fewer campaigns, fewer ad sets, more conversions in each, so the delivery system can learn. Advantage+ sales campaigns run where they beat manual set-ups, with existing customer caps set properly.

Why it matters: an ad set that never reaches around fifty conversions a week rarely leaves learning, and keeps paying for it.

What you get
  • Prospecting, retargeting and retention separated by clear purpose
  • Existing customer budget cap set inside Advantage+ campaigns
  • Campaign budget or ad set budget chosen per objective
  • Duplicate and overlapping audiences removed
  • Naming conventions so anyone can read the account
  • Bid caps or cost caps used only when margins demand them

/ How it works

From audit to steady scaling.

Scaling Facebook ads without wrecking cost per purchase is a process, not a button. This is the order we work in.

1Within 48 hours

Account and tracking audit

We go through structure, creative history, frequency, event match quality, deduplication, catalogue health and how Ads Manager compares with your shop over the last 90 days.

You get: a written list of fixes, ranked by money at stake.

2Weeks 1 to 2

Repair the data

Conversions API and consent fixed, attribution setting agreed, and a baseline set using new customer revenue and blended return from your own systems.

You get: trustworthy numbers and first fixes live within two weeks of kickoff.

3Weeks 2 to 6

Consolidate and refresh

Campaigns merged into a simpler structure, the catalogue cleaned, and a first batch of new creative concepts launched against your current best performers.

You get: an account that can learn, with fresh creative in rotation.

4Month 2 onward

Scale in measured steps

Budgets rise in increments of roughly 15 to 25 percent while cost per purchase holds, with new creative feeding the account and monthly checks against shop revenue.

You get: growth that holds its margin instead of resetting every time.

Ecommerce growth the team has delivered.

These figures come from ecommerce growth programmes run by our team. Paid media was part of the mix, but we don't credit them to Meta alone, and we have no Meta-only figures to publish.

/ Is this for you?

Who our Meta ads agency suits best.

✓A great fit if you are

  • A Shopify or DTC brand where Facebook and Instagram drive most new customers
  • Stuck at a spend ceiling where every increase pushes cost per purchase up
  • Doubtful about Ads Manager numbers and want reporting tied to real orders
  • Selling a catalogue that should be working harder in dynamic ads
  • Planning a launch or peak season and want the account ready weeks ahead, as covered on our ecommerce marketing agency page

✕Probably not a fit if you

  • Need Instagram posting and DMs handled. We run ads only, not organic content or community
  • Sell mainly to other businesses. LinkedIn often fits better, see our paid social agency page
  • Can't allow changes to tracking. Without clean signal we can't fix delivery properly
  • Need profit from week one. Rebuilding an account takes a few weeks to settle

/ Check it yourself

A ten-minute Meta ads account health check.

You don't need an agency to run these checks. Open Events Manager, Ads Manager and your shop dashboard side by side and work through the list. Each red flag is worth fixing whoever manages the account.

01

Event match quality on Purchase

In Events Manager, open the Purchase event. A low score means Meta can't connect many buyers to the people who saw your ads. Passing hashed email and phone usually lifts it.

02

Deduplication between pixel and server

If you send both browser and server events, check that they share an event ID. Purchases counted twice inflate results and teach the algorithm the wrong lessons.

03

Ad sets stuck in learning limited

Filter the delivery column. Several ad sets marked learning limited suggest budget split too thinly; merging them often helps more than any bid change.

04

Frequency on prospecting campaigns

In the last seven days, prospecting frequency well above three usually means creative fatigue or an audience that is too narrow for the budget behind it.

05

Ads Manager versus your shop

Compare 30 days of Meta reported purchases with orders in Shopify or your shop. A large gap points to tracking issues or generous view-through attribution.

06

Catalogue diagnostics

In Commerce Manager, look for rejected items, missing images and out-of-stock products still eligible to show. These quietly waste spend in every dynamic ad.

Running TikTok or LinkedIn as well? See our paid social agency page for how we run all three together.

/ Your options

Who should run your Facebook ads?

There are good reasons to choose each of these options. Here is how they compare on the things that matter most for Meta accounts.

Meta-only specialist Generalist digital agency In-house hire Perfometrics
Depth on Meta Very deep, single platform Varies by who is assigned Grows with time on your account ✓Senior buyers with Meta as a core channel
Tracking and CAPI Often strong Frequently left to a plugin Depends on outside help ✓Server-side set-up and match quality owned by us
Sees search, email and site No, Meta only Usually separate teams Yes, if the team is broad ✓Yes, one team across paid, SEO, email, CRO
Creative capacity Often includes UGC production Design team, less testing Limited to your own team ✓Briefs, editing and creator coordination
Best for Brands spending heavily on Meta alone Brands wanting one supplier for everything Larger brands with steady volume ✓Brands that want Meta tied to real profit

/ Questions

Questions about our Meta ads work.

What does a Meta ads agency do that a general agency doesn't?
It lives inside Ads Manager, Events Manager and Commerce Manager every week. That means knowing how Advantage+ campaigns behave, how learning phases reset, why match quality matters and how attribution settings change the story. A generalist often runs Meta as one channel among many and misses those details.
Is a Facebook ads agency different from a Meta ads agency?
No, it's the same job. Facebook and Instagram ads are bought through the same Meta platform, so a Facebook ads agency and an Instagram ads agency are doing identical work. Most people still search for Facebook advertising agency, which is why you'll see both names used.
Why do Ads Manager and Shopify show different numbers?
On the default setting, Meta counts a sale if someone clicked within seven days or viewed within one day, using modelled data where tracking is blocked. Shopify counts the order once, usually crediting the last click. Neither is wrong, but they answer different questions, so we report both and base decisions on new customer revenue.
Should we use Advantage+ campaigns?
Often, but not blindly. Advantage+ sales campaigns work well for stores with enough conversion volume and a solid catalogue. We test them against a manual structure, cap spend on existing customers, and keep manual campaigns where you need control over audiences or products.
How much do you need us to spend on Meta ads management?
There is no fixed minimum, but each campaign needs enough budget to collect steady purchase data, which depends on your average order value. We work this out in the free audit, then give you a fixed quote for Meta ads management based on scope rather than a cut of spend.
How did iOS privacy changes affect Facebook ads?
Since Apple's App Tracking Transparency, many iPhone users opt out of tracking, so the pixel sees fewer conversions and reporting relies more on modelling. Server-side events, strong match quality and consistent first-party data recover much of that signal. Fewer, larger campaigns also help, because modelling works better with more data in each.
Do you make the ad creative?
We write concepts, scripts and briefs, edit and resize footage, and coordinate creators or your designers. Strong creative is the main lever on Meta now, so it's part of the job. Winning ideas also inform your emails, through our email marketing agency work, and your landing pages.
Can you improve the landing pages too?
Yes, and it often matters as much as the ads. A product page that converts better lowers cost per purchase across every campaign. Our conversion rate optimisation agency team tests landing pages for Meta traffic, and our performance marketing agency work plans Meta alongside Google Ads.
